Bayer Leverkusen secured all three points in their Bundesliga clash against VfL Wolfsburg, thanks to a hat-trick from Schick. The German forward scored twice before his strike partner, Wirtz, added the final goal for the hosts.

The first half was a cagey affair between the two sides, with neither team managing to find the back of the net. However, the second half saw the pressure mount on Wolfsburg, and Schick took advantage of the opening created by his teammates.

The Czech international scored his first goal just five minutes into the second half, slotting home from close range after good work down the left flank. He then doubled Leverkusen's lead four minutes later, firing home from long-range.

Wirtz completed the scoring late on, curling a superb shot into the top corner to seal the win for the visitors. It was a dominant display from the Bavarian outfit, who were well worth their victory at the Volkswagen Arena.

The result sees Leverkusen move up to fifth place in the table, while Wolfsburg slip to eighth. Both teams will be hoping to bounce back from this defeat in their next fixtures.
